Silly me! Somehow I have missed some gems on the download page, thanks for the reminder. You do such a great job here, thanks so much for giving so many of us a place full of so much info and fun. It's great to be able to share our love for the guys and know there are others here that totally "get it". Now I'm off to see all I have missed!

Wow... hear my heart beating furiously...

    And...

These emoticons are for you, Soda:

That was absolutely WONDERFUL and quite moving - I have a bit of a lump in my throat . Some of those pics are among my favourites.

How lovely to see Glenn's career in such a gorgeous slideshow - and chronologically too - with such an appropriate song, by such an appropriate artist! Wow, girl, you think of everything!

I haven't heard that song in years, but remember it, and I think I'm going to check out a Bob Seger CD one of these days!

I had to download the slideshow before I could watch it, as I just couldn't get into YouTube properly! I managed at least to get the link to show, and did the necessary. Well, now it's mine! Thank you SO much for posting this masterpiece!

I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
And I know Glenn won't let me down

That is absolutely wonderful, Soda. I wonder if Bob Seger had a clue what Glenn was destined to become when he wrote that song about him. It is appropriate though because even though the street-smart kid from Detroit grew up to be a rock 'n' roll legend, in many ways he does appear to be still the same.

Glad you guys liked it! I was originally going to do "Still the Same" for just 80s pics because I had done another slide show for 70s Glenn using "Help Me," but dreamer persuaded me to chuck that idea and just use this one for the whole lifetime!

But the song first appeared on the Stranger In Town album in 1978 when both Glenn and Seger were big stars. It was not written at the start of their careers.

Thank you Soda, that was wonderful.
