"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
I was checking out some Max Carl tracks on YouTube and came across this;

Max Carl - Somewhere Somebody, which seems to be from an unreleased 1987, Max Carl album named, Counting On Love.
I've listened to it over a dozen times and despite being uncredited, I reckon half of it is sung by Glenn
What d'ya think?
It's great tune anyway
The second voice sounds like Glenn.
Excellent video and I agree that Glenn is the second singer, can't miss that distinct voice!
It's amazing what turns up! I'm not sure I'd have even picked up that it was two different singers without being told as they sound surprising similar. But on closer listening, I do hear that half of each verse is sung by a different person and they both sing the chorus. It does sound like Glenn. For example, the words "searchin'" and "there" in this part:
"But I look uptown, downtown, all around searchin'
I know she's out there waiting for me."
Definitely sounds like it's Glenn . And he sounds like how he does on some of his 'Soul Searchin' tracks (it's reminiscent to me of SKOB, not the tune but the way it's sung). SS was released in 88 so the timeline fits too. Nice find.
'I must be leaving soon... its your world now'
Glenn Frey 1948-2016 RIP
Definitely would bet money that's Glenn Frey AND I wouldn't be surprised if you find out he wrote the tune.
Ok, confirmed it was not written by Glenn Frey.
Songwriters
GRONENTHAL, MAX/KASTNER, ANDREW DAVID/MCNALLY, LARRY JOHN
And other people of sung the song.
I still like the version that was posted.
Freaking awesome to uncover stuff like this after all this time. This is so obscure it wasn't even in Glenn's allmusic credits, which is a pretty thorough database. You rock, Funk 50! Also, thanks for the verification Elizasong.
Glenn would also produce and release on on his own label, Mission Records, Max Carl's later album One Planet, One Groove. It contains several co-writes and vocal guest appearances as well, including the duet "Show Me the Money."

Unfortunately, it was Mission Records' only release as soon after, Glenn was back with the Eagles.
