There is no more new frontier - we have got to make it here
This album contains 2 of my very favorite Eagles songs ever, AG & BOML yet it's never been one of my favorite Eagles albums. Over the years, I have learned to appreciate it more, especially the title song.
Happy Birthday On The Border!
He sings it high, he plays it low
Besides the songs already mentioned, I would like to give a special shout out to Ol' 55. It has a beautiful melody and a lyric full of imagery. It's a very pretty song.

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.

"For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14-year vacation!"
(Glenn Frey)
37 years already! Unbelievable! I love this album. There's really not a song I don't like. My favorites are pretty much the same as everyone else's; Already Gone, Best of My Love, and Good Day In Hell.
I even changed my av, which doesn't happen that often! And how about a little On The Border eye candy! (And AG just started playing on the radio! )
Aren't they cute?! Woo hoo hoo!

1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Here's to ON THE BORDER!!!!!
It honestly is probably my favorite album after Hotel California.
My faves are Already Gone, Best Of My Love, and James Dean. I loved to play Already Gone in the Stone Eagles when we were playing. Such a fun solo to play and to sing!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON THE BORDER!!!
I have already commented in this thread in previous years about how much I love this album. It is probably my third or fourth favorite, but I honestly don't think there is a bad a song on the album. I think it's vastly underrated and IMO, it was the first album that really highlighted the band's versatility.
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
On the Border is my favorite Eagles album. I absolutely love every song on this album.
