Wait, I'm confused...I thought both were casino shows. But one is outdoors? Regardless, those should be the best pics of all, since you won't have a fickle flash and red-eye to worry about. I want only the best, OK?

They are both casinos, but the one on May 16th is at the Downstream Casino Resort - they have a 6,200 seat outdoor concert facility apparently. It's called the Rain Or Shine event. (If he sings that song, I WILL die.)
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
That would be awesome to hear him do that song . Maybe he will just to fulfill the name of the event !

I second that!!!!
The first (and only) Don solo concert I went to was at an outdoor venue (the Zoo Ampitheater in OKC). It was a little hot outside during the opening act but by the time Don got on stage the sun was already going down. I just hope that it doesn't rain the night of the outdoor concert on the 16th. But that doesn't mean that I won't be there if it does. I have some ponchos ready just in case.

I hadn't thought about this before -but what you said Jess--obviously in the past there has been an opening act--does he have one for these few shows?

As far as I know, there's no opening act for either of the upcoming Oklahoma shows. The last time I saw him in concert (Aug. 5, 2007) his opening act was Lucinda Williams. I had never heard any of her music before that and I thought she sounded pretty good.
This is the only pic that I got of Lucinda at that concert

By the way - I have been meaning to reply to this thread for several days now, but keep forgetting. Anyway, troub what a fantastic birthday gift. I know you and PB will have a blast. It will definitely be a birthday that you will never forget!

Peek, I had to laugh when I saw that pic of Lucinda Williams. I was there that night with our Don-loving friend, and we were so focused on the main attraction I don't think either one of us even realized there was an opening act at all!
