When I hear Desperado all my emotions are stirred. From excited and wild listening to Out of Control, Melancholy listening to Saturday Night to Weepy listening to Desperado (reprise), Don's voice has such a haunting sound in the reprise, "Now there's no time left to borrow". Yes I would put Desperado on the top of my list of Albums I can't go without hearing atleast once a week.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DESPERADO!!

I admit I was not that impressed when it first came out except for the album cover & the hot looking guys BUT it grew on me quickly and I have LOVED it ever since.

My favourite. Happy Birthday. I couldn't imagine I'd still be listening 41 years later.

I was kinda the same way, HB, except quite honestly I wasn't even that impressed with the skinny hippie cowboys either. I liked the songs okay at first, but didn't think it was nearly as good as the first album. In retrospect, I often scratch my head and wonder what was I thinking? But, given the album's commercial failure, I guess we weren't the only ones that didn't fully appreciate its brilliance at the time. It now runs a very close second to Hotel California as being my favorite.

I listen to the album on Spotify today. Majority of their albums(except HFO and LROOE) are on Spotify. I kinda didn't like the album either. Its still not my favorite, but of course I love the songs Desperado, Doolin Dalton, Doolin' Dalton/Desperado reprise, and Saturday Night. If it wasn't for me the clips of Doolin Dalton and Saturday Night, I probably would only like Desperado and Tequila since those two songs were the only ones I heard of before last year.

    Happy 41st Birthday, Desperado.

    HAPPY 41 to DESPERADO!

I have to admit until last year, I paid no attention to this album. However, since becoming Eagle obsessed, I went out and bought the album, and I have to say I really was impressed from the first time I listened to the entire album. This album was ahead of its time and I have since grown to really appreciate it.

    Happy Birthday to Desperado.

Even though I prefer the more rockin' Eagles from OTB forward, this is a great album and another concept album masterpiece.

Favorites are Out Of Control, Doolin-Dalton, and Desperado. I'm kind of burnt out on Tequila Sunrise but it's a good track....

I love how wild and high-spirited "Out of Control" is. I understand why they don't do it anymore, but I sure wish I could have heard it live just once. Thank goodness for the old videos!
