I just read about this, She was 86 and had cancer. It's very sad, but Im glad she went peacefully and surrounded by family and loved ones. She was a talented lady and we will miss her.

Aww, that's too bad about Bea Arthur. I loved her in Golden Girls.

I saw Bea Arthur in "Mame," the musical, which starred Angela Lansbury as "Auntie Mame" in the sities, when it was on Broadway. The entire cast was really great. Bea Arthur was a good actress.

My sympathies to her family and friends. No matter what age a person is it is always a sad time when they go.

I didn't know that she had had cancer either. What a shame once again. What a gal she was---I am one of those oldies that remember her as Maude on All In The Family and then in the series Maude. Quite a talent she was!

She will be missed. I remember watching The Golden Girls with my parents--it was one of their favorite shows.

She was a phenomenal actress. I loved the Golden Girls, and I remember her from All in the Family... She will surely be missed.
