    Happy Birthday, Eric.

I was also a big Animals fan back in the day. HORS is a classic, but, ya gotta be careful who ya dedicate that song too, Mike!

Thanks for that little info--I didn't know that. I love Slade--(but why wouldn't I since I'm such a Sweet fan!) Noddy Holder is just to cool for words!!!

That was the first and LAST time I ever dedicated a song <LOL> It was a very humiliating experience for one who was not extremely self confident and was barely able to take the stage from fear. I never got over that stage fright.

Mike--just how long after that did you find out what the song was really about? I bet you were mortified when you realized.

It was right after the "performance" Willie. A couple of the Seniors were laughing at me and I couldn't figure out why. I mean, I didn't screw the song up or anything and as for "meaning", I thought it was probably about a Casino or something. Finally, they told me what it was about <LOL> I felt like crawling into a hole and pulling the dirt down on top of me.

Bless her heart, Mrs. Tremble (the lady from Louisiana) made it a point to come thank me for the "dedication" and said something about it being about the intent and not the content. I really don't think I could have suffered the humiliation had it not been for her reaction. I really didn't care about what everyone else thought. I mean of all the teachers I had, I respected and liked her more than any of the others.
