Ooh, I didn't know it was Mike Rutherford's birthday yesterday. Thanks for the heads up, FP! The first song that I recognized from him other than what he did for Genesis was probably "Heartbeat" by Red 7 that was featured at the very end of Manhunter. I fell asleep while watching it, but I woke up in time to hear In-a-Gadda-da-Vida and Heartbeat almost right after.

Happy birthday to Lindsey Buckingham! My favorite solo album of his is Out of the Cradle, but I haven't given Gift of Screws and Seeds We Sow a listen yet. Under the Skin would come in 2nd because I really like a few of the songs on it, especially Cast Away Dreams, which is my favorite on that. It's hard for me to make it through Law and Order and Go Insane though. Also, Law and Order and Under the Skin were released today in 1981 and 2006, respectively.

ETA: I gave Law and Order a listen again, and there are three songs that bother me in it. That's probably why it can be hard to get through it at times for me. The 3 songs are: September Song, That's How We DO It in L.A., and Johnny Stew. The 1st half of the album is fine, but the 2nd half gets into shaky territory beginning at track 6, September Song.

Have to agree with you on Law and Order, especially the latter two songs you listed. Not my fave at all.

But I digress! We should take this to the Lindsey thread.

Since I will not be on here three days from now, I would like to wish Moody Blues frontman Justin Hayward an early happy 70th birthday!
