You know me on weekends-don't always get here so I need to post this one today.

The Edge (David Evans) of U2 turns 48 tomorrow.

And Ricky Rocket, drummer for Poison, turns 48 tomorrow also. (Ok --I know, I know--I never really liked him but did like Poison in the 80s and still pull out some of their stuff every once in awhile). How can you not get a kick out of Talk Dirty To Me?

I love some of Poison's songs, too, TBF! I have a dvd of some of their old songs and they are hilarious to watch now. I missed them back in the day.

    Thanks!

Thought of Mike, Ticky and anyone else that are guitar players.

Leo Fender was born in 1909 on this day. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 81.

Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull is 62 today.

I feel obligated to include this birthday today. Some of you might remember how I was corrected by this artist himself after I called him somewhat of a one hit wonder on my Sweet board. Sorry, but I still think he is somewhat of a loser seeing as how he just got out of jail last month for 2 DUIs.

Anyways.... Eric Carmen turns 60 today.

This was the only song I remembered by him, but now know he had a couple other hits.
    Boring!!!!

And then there was this big hit before he went solo when he was with The Raspberries.
I really did/do love this song, but didn't know who it was... well till recently.

So, anyways... Sorry Mr Carmen for offending you awhile back, I stand corrected and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

PM--Here's where I posted part of it.

#40. Brooke and EV remembered him also. It's been an ongoing battle between Sweet fans and EC fans for quite awhile now because he posted some no so nice things about when he toured with Sweet on his board. The Sweet board members refer to him as "Mr Cardboard".

Aw, I hadn't seen that post about Eric Carmen! What a shame. I find his song "All By Myself" so moving.

ETA: Oh yeah, I had seen that and forgotten. Yikes, Nancy, that was only a few months ago! Maybe I was blocking it out, lol.

I always wonder why someone with talent and fans would resort to 'lowering themselves' that way.

Check this out. Totally disgusting. So obviously drunk during the sobriety test. He's lucky he didn't kill anyone and like I said, it wasn't his first time. Stay off the streets in Ohio today in case he is celebrating.
