The Bridgetown Blues Festival

The Line up for this years Bridgetown Blue Festival was just announced and Kevin Borich will be playing!! It takes place in Portland on the waterfront in November (should make for interesting weather) but I'm thinking short of a blizzard or hurricane, there isnt much that's gonna make me miss this!!!





ya know what? Never mind.. this is Bridgetown, Au. HOW DISAPPOINTING FOR ME!!!!!!! ARGH!!! Portland is called Bridgetown and we have a Bridgetown Blues Fest too... DAMN! I am bummed...

Safeway Waterfront Blues Fest

Looks like Safeway's sponsoring it now.. Still good line up. Just no Kevin.. oh well...

Ticky... how do you know about Kevin Borich, who is Australian? Was he in the Party Boys band with Joe that I saw all those years ago? My memory of that night only includes Joe and the late Marc Hunter. Borich was very highly regarded down here but never achieved the success he deserved.

I love Kevin's music, but I have to say, I didnt know who he was till I met my friend Colleen Poulter, who's an Aussie (originally from NZ). She wrote a book called The Wong Way to Marry. Her husband is a session guitarist and plays occasionally with Kevin. They are friends and she introduced me to Kevin via Myspace. He's a kick and an amazing musician!! He sent me a msg saying he was playing at Bridgetown blues fest, silly me, I immediately thought Portland (it also being called Bridgetown on occasion) IF I'd read the rest, I'd have known he was just teasing me! DUR!
