I like it a lot, too. It was actually the B-side to the single of "One Of These Nights" so when that came out in advance of the LP, I ran out and bought it. I felt that "Visions" was more typically musically than the A-side which I didn't care for all that much (I love it now) as I had to get used to the Bee Gees' type harmonies.

I like Visions okay, I'd hardly call it a personal favourite though, but I'd never skip it either. The bit of the song I like best is probably the very end, I've always really liked the final flourish of guitar. Just a cool way to end the song I guess.

I think that One Of These Nights has four really great songs which stand out as being among the best the Eagles have done - these being the 'big three' of the title track, Lyin' Eyes and Take It To The Limit, as well as After The Thrill Is Gone. As an aside, one of the many things I love about ATTIG is Felder's guitar playing - I really like his opening guitar part and the solo in the middle of the solo. I also rate Too Many Hands and Journey Of The Sorcerer highly and consider both to be substantially underrated. I like Hollywood Waltz but it's not quite in the top group of Eagles songs to me - I probably like it better than Nightingale but perhaps slightly less than Is It True?, both of which are fairly good but have never considered to be amongst their best or my own favourites. I don't care for I Wish You Peace and sometimes give it a miss and stop playing the album after ATTIG. I think the strings detract from the song - where the strings on TITTL add to the song's power, on IWYP I would say it simply makes the song sound a bit too sappy.

Overall I think OOTN is a good Eagles album although it's not as strong as the two that came before it or its successor. Having said that, those are my three favourites and this album for the most part is at a similar level to those.

I like Visions too. To me it has a bit of a southern boogie-Skynyrd sound that you'd never associate with the Eagles. It's fun, especially the vocals.

Speaking of fun, I can understand the Frey devotees' appreciation of the boat picture posted earlier in the thread, but as a Randy fan I'm partial to this one:

I heard Journey Of The Sorceror on the radio a few days ago.

It's one of my favourites but on this evidence, it's not a radio song. I'd still love to hear it performed live though.

I also like Visions. I don't think it's a great song, and it's not one of my favorites, but I do enjoy it. I never skip it when I listen to the album.

Saw on the front page that this song was released as a single 40 years ago today! I've always loved it and think it's one of their best and sexiest!

I used to think the song was one of their more dated numbers but after seeing how hot it is live, I've come to appreciate it!

OOTN nights is my favorite Eagles song. Love this song, and very happy it's back in the setlist.

I can, but my mom and uncle can't .
Happy (belated) birthday to one of my favorite Eagles albums. You're double my age OOTN!
