Okay - I am going to post the results of our poll. As I said earlier, I have tallied the results by combining the most recent lists with the results from the last poll. I am not including my own list or Freypower's, or Brooke's since we all participated previously. So, the top spot remains unchanged - the song with the most points is the Take it to the Limit. In second place is One of These Nights, followed closely by Lyin’ Eyes. So congratulations to the awesome Take It To the Limit and here are the rest of the results ...

1.) Take It To the Limit – 162 points
2.) One of These Nights – 152 points
    3.) Lyin' Eyes – 146 points
4.) After the Thrill Is Gone – 137 points
    5.) Hollywood Waltz – 91 points
    6.) Too Many Hands – 83 points
    7.) Visions – 60 points (tie for 7th and 8th place)
    8.) I Wish You Peace – 60 points (tie for 7th and 8th place)
9.) Journey of the Sorcerer – 54 points

As always, thanks to those who participated and if anyone else wants to post their list, please feel free, and I will update the results.

Happy 44th Birthday to the One of These Nights album.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

This one made such a difference to the Eagles! Everybody thinks of Hotel California as their defining album and that's true now, but this album was when they really turned the corner in terms of becoming a rock'n'roll band and becoming huge hitmakers. This was when the Eagles "arrived."

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY OOTN!

I agree. All the songs that was released from this album were all top 5 hits including a no. 1. They were starting to find their footing. I love majority of the album minus 3.

Do anyone know what song stopped Lyin' Eyes to become a no. 1 hit?

Thanks, Soda. I don't think I've heard of that song. I may have, but don't remember how it goes. I'm looking at the charts during that time, I haven't heard of half of those songs. Luckily I know the artist.

OT: I was looking at the other years and The Long Run peaked at no. 8 the week I was born(my birthday is February 3rd).

I didn't know "Island Girl" either. I went to YouTube to listen to it out of curiosity, and I was REALLY unimpressed. I linked to it in my post (just click on the song title).

I haven't heard of MOST of the other songs on that chart! Guess they didn't stand the test of time like the Eagles.

OK, you inspired me to go look. During my birthday week (Dec. 9), "Best of My Love" was on the charts! Sure, it was number 61, but still! lol! Thanks for the idea.
