It seems like I paid $25 for a ticket in nosebleed back during the Hotel Ca tour. Don't have my stub though.

You came along and changed my life Glenn!!
Just getting around to seeing this, T&H. I'm pretty sure that tickets prices for the guy's in the late 70's were in the $12 - $15 range. As I said, I didn't get to go to any shows, but I specifically remember my cousins going and paying those prices. Honestly, I don't know what kind of tickets they were, but I doubt if they were front row because I'm sure my cousins would still be talking about it if they were.

I love this story! How amazing for you that you got to see them in Central Park during that period. And your father let you go! And in 1972 NYC, with what your father probably saw at work on a regular basis, that was pretty incredible of him.
I was 13 when my brother asked my mother if I could have an extra ticket that he and his friends had in Nov. of '76 at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor. I begged and begged and begged, to no avail My brother and his friends were far from choir boys, and my mother knew they would be drinking and smoking pot, and I'm sure she didn't want me to be exposed to that, but I held that one against her for a long time. LOL Had to wait until 1979 to see them for the first time, and by then, Randy was gone.
For someone who asked about ticket prices in this thread, I just looked at the ticket stubs in my photo album from those shows (my brother felt bad, so he gave me his). They were $7 for the 1976 show (but I think his seats were in the nosebleeds), and mine for TLR tour was $12.50. It was a decent side seat. Wow, that doesn't even come close to covering the service charges these days!
Loved your story too, NYC fan and thanks for verifying those ticket prices. I'm so envious of those of you who were able to see the band in the 70's and for the HFO tour. I wasn't able to see them for the first time until 2003, so I've been trying to make up for lost time ever since.

This appeared on Facebook tonight, It is some great footage of backstage, the fans, the tour manager, the party plane, Glenn's mother in law.
Tim appears at 10.40, Glenn at 21, and Don at the end, but the whole thing is worth watching
