Well, as I am approaching the 30 Year Glenniversary perhaps I should not dwell too much on the negatives but during the period 1991 - 1994 I was in what I now call 'denial'. I had been upset when the Eagles reunion failed to occur and so I thought I should give the band up entirely. I was also tired of waiting for Glenn's solo career to start again. At the time Don was everywhere* and Glenn had vanished. When Strange Weather/Dublin were released my resistance started to break down but it took a long time. Then came the South Of Sunset fiasco which seemed to take me back to where I was.
*I wish I could be more diplomatic about that. I did consider switching to Don at the time purely for 'visibility' purposes but just as I could not do it in 1979, I could not do it in 1991.
WOW--South of Sunset---haven't thought of that in over a decade (Sorry!). That was to bad. Why was that never aired? If I remember right, whichever network it was, aired a show or 2 but that was it right? I remember all the hype and then nothing! Are there copies of it floating around somewhere? I should probably go to GFO first right? If it's out there, our Soda has it!
Sorry FP for dragging up the "bad times" but at least you did come to your senses and never deserted him!

We did have a discussion about it but I think it was on this board's predecessor.
And Willie, thanks for saying you think I didn't 'desert' Glenn but I did. Just not forever.
I picked up a really sweet interview with Glenn on eBay done to coincide with the release of the Album 'Strange Weather' where among other thing he talks about his reasons for NOT reuniting the Eagles at that point in time. If someone can suggest how I can link it to the site I'll put it up.
