“Let’s Get Harry” is showing right now on the Movies! channel. I just happened to discover it while channel surfing. Unfortunately I missed the first half since I got home not long ago.

Method acting? Maybe that’s how Duvall gets into character.

Things don't really pick up until the second half anyway... although I do love the scenes where they're meeting Shrike for the first time - "Habla Espanol?" and where he's convincing Jack to join the team.

I went back a little ways on this thread, and I noticed that this isn't the first time it's been reported that Movies! has played Let's Get Harry. So I went to their website and found that they are also playing it on July 18 (Wed) at 1am and July 27 (Fri) at 4pm.

They also have a "Where to Watch" tab. if I lived in Cincinnati, I could get it through my antenna. But nothing in the Dayton area. Darn!

Maybe, but still, stuff like this:
"According to Frey, Duvall would often shatter the silence on the set in Mexico by shouting, without warning, “‘What am I doin’ in a movie with a rock star!?!’” Frey couldn’t tell for certain whether Duvall was joking.

But the animosity, real or affected, brought a certain vigor to the scene where Duvall punishes Frey for opening a door without first determining who’s on the other side.

“Yeah,” Frey said with a grin, “we had a real good time doing that one. That particular day, Duvall wouldn’t talk to me. In between takes, he wasn’t around — he’d be standing outside in the hall, pacing back and forth. And then we’d do another take, and I’d open the door — and he’d slam me up against the wall. I think he wanted to do that anyway. It was always, ‘A (expletive deleted) rock star! I’d work with a million Gary Buseys before a rock star!’

“And then, when they filmed my reaction shot, he held this knife this far away from my throat, and yelled, ‘I could kill you right now, you . . . punk!’ And then he just let me go. They started rolling the camera — and I wasn’t acting. I was completely in shock.

“That was kind of interesting. But it wasn’t exactly fun.”

Method or not.... DANG. Poor Glenn!

    Here's a low-quality vid of that moment.

I haven't seen LGH, so I'm writing this down so I can try to find and watch!

Happy 32nd Birthday to Let's Get Harry.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

Underrated movie. I'd forgotten that it came out on Halloween!

Yep - a belated happy anniversary wish to Let's Get Harry.

Glad to see Amazon has made it available for rental. IMO, Glenn holds his own against some established top-tier actors in this film.
