There's a shot of him holding a fluffy little duckling in "River of Dreams"! NOT FAIR! How am I supposed to judge objectively now?!?! What a delightful image! My "awwwww" factor is in full force.

I've got an avatar of that shot. Is it a duckling? I thought it was a chicken.
Ahhhhhhhh Freypower thanks for posting that!
I have no idea what it is, acutally. It does appear to be a chicken, upon closer inspection. All I saw was my preferred Eagle genuinely grinning at something cute and fluffy in his hands and my ability to form coherent thoughts promptly vacated the premises!!
Mmmmmm! This is just what I need.....but its going to be soooooo hard to vote them off!

Just a couple of questions since I've never played the Video Survivor before.
How much does the song have to do with my vote. Should I just turn the volume off and vote purely on the visuals? Or am I seeing how closely the video tells the story of the song? Or are the answers to these questions totally up to the voter?

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
PM - the way each individual chooses to vote in a Survivor game is almost always subjective. Each person kind of sets their own criteria for themselves. However, in this case we will be voting on the actual videos rather than the songs so it kind of stands to reason that it should have more weight. My personal feeling though is that I would never mute the volume because one of my criteria is how well the message in the video either compliments or detracts from the song. But like I said - it's your call. Hope this helps - but as with most things on The Border, the most important thing is to have a good time!!!

Yeah, I agree with Dreamer. Sometimes a great song can have an awful video (example: Don's Heart of the Matter). Still, part of why they're awful is the fact that they don't work with the song. By the same token, a song that isn't your favorite can have a very entertaining video, or one that works well for it. You have to have the volume on while you watch the video to figure that out.
So, yes, the focus is on the video - but what your criteria is for a "good" video is completely subjective.
