Monique - I wish I could tell you how fortunate I feel to have had the opportunity to go to Pebble Beach. Meeting Glenn there and all of the ensuing events that transpired during and after that were the thrill of a lifetime for me. And you'd better believe I have my picture with Glenn framed. It is sitting on my computer desk so I can see it every day. And if that isn't enough, it's also the wallpaper on my desktop.

And in case I haven't mentioned this before - I love this thread because I love reminiscing with other Borderers about all of our Eagles-related experiences. So nice job, Jess. I love your those pictures of yours. And yes, the guys look handsome in the suits, even if I am VERY glad they are gone!

I noticed on the Today in Eagles History calendar earlier today that on March 15, 2005, I attended only my 2nd Eagles concert in Hampton, VA. Although I had been a fan of the band since the beginning, I had to wait over 30 years before I saw my first live show. I've tried to make up for that in recent years, but, hopefully, I still have a ways to go before I'm done.

Well - I'm reviving this thread again because today is another very special day for me. It was this day in 2003 that I attended my very first Eagles concert ever. After waiting over 30 years to see my very favorite band of all time, I can't even describe how excited I was that night, I was in heaven - sucky seats and all!

It was actually the Hampton 2005 concert that I mentioned in my previous post that was literally a life changing experience for me though. After seeing that a couple years later, I was so psyched, I came home and started checking out everything I could about the band on the Internet. That eventually lead me to another site where I made quite a few friends including Soda. She eventually started our predecessor board, Flip City, and the rest is history as they say.

Awww - that's very sweet, GA. The bright side of spraining your ankle is that you are able to spend more time on The Border. I hope you go on posting about our favourite band ... like forever as well!!

I've been reliving my last Eagles concert all evening. It was a year ago today that I saw the guys in Wichita. It was another fabulous concert but the pre-concert stuff was exciting too. It turned out that the guys were staying at the same hotel as us. I didn't get to see them but we spotted Will, Stuart, Al and even got a pic with Smokey.

It was also my first time to see the guys do Best of My Love. It's not the whole song but I did get a short video clip of it.

    Here it is:

And also part of Take It to the Limit

    And part of Hotel California

Those clips were all awesome...but that HC clip!

You were in the perfect place. You got all three! Loved watching Don drumming to HC close up! Loved the drum faces. I don't know drum terminology, but feel free to help me anyone (Austin?). I love the parts where he drums off to his right-it always looks like he's just a little behind to me; plus I love how it sounds different. Whether I'm sitting at home, or at a concert, I always "drum" along with the end. I can't help myself. And BOML?

Thanks Peekaboo! I can't wait to look at all the pictures.
