Today(9 Sept) 2008, I was on my first visit to the USA to stay with my friend Phyllis and we saw the Eagles at the Toyota Centre in Houston.
We were due to see them again on the 11th but they cancelled the show due to Hurricane Ike coming in. Galverston Island and South Houston suffered a lot of damage and many people were evacuated.
The cancelled Houston show was re-arranged for 1 December, so I missed that one; I gave my ticket to Phyl's mum who went instead of me.
A few of my photos from the Houston show - back in the days of the suits!

Three years ago today was the last time I saw the boys live - September 21, 2008 in Milwaukee, WI. It was my second Eagles concert and even though we had not-that-good seats, I still had the time of my life. I didn't get many good pictures and a lot of them are blurry, but they're still all on my computer and I changed my avatar to their performance of Hotel California. Looking forward to seeing them again someday! (40th anniversary's coming up...)

Sometimes, the not-so-good seats turn out being the best in the house.
It sounds like that was the case for you. By the time I was 15 I had only seen them twice too, but I can still remember where I sat and who I was with. You obviously loved it or you wouldn't remember the Anniversary date and I think you'll remember it always.
I hope everything works out and you can get to see them a third or even fourth time
Do you remember what song they started with? I'm thinking it was How Long, but they changed things up a little so I may be wrong.
I really hope that every hardcore fan will get to see at least one show on the band's 40-year anniversary tour (of course, I'm assuming there is going to be a 40-year anniversary tour).
