OK--I am officially impressed and just a bit jealous Lou! Great stories!! Brian and Roger and Paul Young also! I loved Paul Young in the 80's when he was singing songs like Every Time You Go Away and my favorite, I'm Going To Tear Your Playhouse Down. What a cutie. I don't even know what he's doing now days. Why haven't you ever told that story before?

LOL. Awww, I really don't know! I think I may have mentioned the Brian May thing to a couple of people in chat (Ticky? GA?) but I just haven't really thought about writing it on here. If I'd known you were a big fan though, obviously I'd have told you.

You're right, Paul Young was a cutie! I didn't know if he was particularly well-known outside of the UK. I went to a small, intimate show of his a couple of years ago, which was fab. He sat right in front of me on the stage and sang the second verse of Come Back And Stay, while looking straight into my eyes. Swooning did occur! He's got the kind of husky, soulful voice that I love. I met him briefly afterwards and he signed my programme. I then met him again at the Dominion. He was waiting in the foyer for the end of the show (one of the nights that Brian May and Roger Taylor were on stage), and I was carrying a couple of crates down the stairs. He came over and opened the rope at the bottom of the steps for me and let me through, like a true gent! I then served him at the bar as they had a mini-party afterwards. At one point, Paul Young, Brian May, Neil Murray and Ben Elton were gathered in a little group right in front of the bar chatting. Paul Young got 'told off' by the manager for trying to light up a cigarette in there! lol. That's about all I can remember. It was a fun couple of years.

Wow, troub - you are a very lucky lady. It is just so cool to have an opportunity to meet these people that we hold in such high esteem, that's for sure. And OBTW, if you or anyone else out there has more of these kinds of stories, all ears are open.

And CPL - thanks for that pic - it is very cute, indeed.

I've never met Phil in the bank...?

    (Sorry!)

That would be a fun thread! I've 'seen' more celebs than I've actually 'met'. Although any stories like that would be cool too. Concerts, events, stories about celebs in your area... I was so close to Leicester Square so I got to see a lot of movie premieres. Perhaps we should move this to Cheap Talk!
