I was thinking about LWKUA, and wondering about the decision-making that went into including it as one of the "new" songs on HFO - a song written by Paul Carrack. I guess they wanted TBS to have another song to sing, and that one was probably floating around from a couple of years prior when Timothy and Felder recorded it, which would have been convenient since everything with HFO came together so very quickly.

Obviously Don and Glenn must have liked it to include it, but does anyone else wonder if they were surprised that it actually became a hit? I don't mean surprised because it's not worthy, but because they had to come up with something so quickly, and it actually worked out pretty well! I'll bet Paul Carrack was pleasantly surprised!

Yeah - Quite honestly, I'm surprised to see such a ripoff listed on Amazon. I expect to see stuff like that on eBay or Craig's List, but not Amazon. I have become accustomed to seeing reasonable, fair prices from them.

And MC, I agree that expediency may have been a big factor in selecting LWKUA for HFO. Having said that, the Eagles version is perfect and it is a gorgeous melodic song, IMHO. Timothy's voice is perfectly suited for it, coupled with the beautiful Eagles harmonies and arrangement that take it to another level. In addition, it is one of the true 'love' songs that the band has ever recorded, so, no, I'm not surprised that it was a hit.
