Fort Hood Shootings

As AzEaglesFan mentioned in another thread and as many of you heard on the news, a soldier at the Fort Hood army base in Texas went on a shooting spree there. 12 people were killed and 31 were injured. More details are here.

AzEaglesFan sent me this and asked me to post it. It was written by her son's girlfriend, who answers 911 calls:

Terrifying and tragic. My thoughts are with everyone affected.

Friends of ours have a son stationed there. When I heard about this I called to see if he was ok and thankfully, he was off base at the time. Still, they were pretty upset.

My heart aches for all those lost and their families are in my prayers.

Us also Brooke-a friend has a son that is a medic there and we were worried till we heard. Especially when news came that there was a soldier that was killed that was from Plymouth which is where he is from. It was a couple hours before we heard that it wasn't him. I can't imagine what the families are going thru. Thoughts are with all of them.

There's just too much of this kind of thing going on in the world! I wish all those who were hurt a speedy recovery & send condolences to the families & friends of those who lost their lives!
