    Default The Carpenters

The Carpenters performed "Desperado" in 1975. I don't quite care for that version, because the Eagles performed it, well, flawlessly. It can be found on their "Horizon" LP.

Thanks for that information, KC. It's amazing how many people have covered Desperado! And welcome to the board.

    Welcome from me too, KC.
I loved the Carpenters and I especially loved Karen's beautiful vocals. It would be great if you could upload a link to that song.

    Default Two Great Drummers/Singers

She was a great singer... Sad to say, I wasn't alive when she was singing. On a brighter note, at least I got to see the Eagles in concert last year! :P

I will post the link soon, and even though it wasn't the best of the Carpenters, it's an okay rendition.

To this day, I consider Karen the best female drummer/lead singer, and I consider Don Henley the best male drummer/lead singer. It's a coincidence that both of them played the drums and sang!

I would love to hear it, too. She had such a beautiful voice!

People often forget that Karen was a drummer like Don. That is a cool concidence. Can't fault your taste.

    Default Heartache Tonight

On YouTube, I saw a clip from Olivia Newton-John's "Hollywood Nights" Television Special, and Olivia Newton-John, Toni Tennille, Tina Turner, and Karen Carpenter were singing the Eagles' "Heartache Tonight". It's not a bad rendition. I like it.
