    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO HOTEL CALIFORNIA!!!

I always said that the true genius of this legendary band is that they were able to perform almost any genre of music at an exceptionally high level.

On Christmas Day in 1976, the Hotel California album was certified Platinum. I just happened to run across this article the other day, so I thought I'd post it to once again recognize one of the best albums ever recorded. It is a list of the 25 Greatest Opening Lines to Songs and is compiled in date order of each song's release. Hotel California is on slide #12 ...

As usual, I don't agree with all of the choices, but, overall, it's a pretty decent list and Hotel California definitely deserves to have a spot on it.

Happy 45th Birthday to the single Hotel California.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

Happy Anniversary to the Hotel California single! But hey, it can't have been 45 years ago, because I was in High School......
