Strictly Come Dancing

Over here in the UK, we have become addicted to this programme, where celebrities are paired with professional dancers and taught ballroom dancing. I (and most of my female friends!) have been following Mark Ramprakash, a cricketer, and last night he won the final!!

I loved Strictly!! Isn't just a great show?! I have to say that I think Mark and Karen deserved to win. Their dances were amazing. Getting 40/40 for the salsa clinched it, I think. I did spend the whole series voting for Matt. His improvement was worthy of his place in the final. Looking forward to the Christmas special now

Matt has to get some sort of prize for wearing the costumes, not many rugby players would wear pink sequins!

We have a similar show "Dancing with the Stars". This year a Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboy, Emmitt Smith won the competition. Being big football fans in our house, Emmitt is who we were pulling for.



I prefer to watch highlights of Emmitt's graceful moves on the field!

I only watched the first episode of Dancing with Stars to see how Harry Hamlin was holding up (unfortunately, not well), but was bowled over by how graceful Emmitt was!

In Australia the show is called Dancing With the Stars. It probably should be called I Love To Watch Alleged Celebrities Dance. I don't watch it. In Australia the word 'celebrity' is applied to winners of Big Brother & Australian Idol. I rest my case.

Wm, I thought Matt did really well - but if he had won Strictly as well as Masterchef he would have been too cocky for words!
