This is about the tour, the DVD pre-order, and the movie itself, so I'm putting it here.

    Could this be a misprint?
“History of the Eagles” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and made its broadcast debut on Showtime last month. The roc doc will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on April 30 as a three-disc set that includes History of the Eagles Part One and History of the Eagles Part Two, as well as Eagles Live At The Capital Centre - March 1977, from the band’s two-night stand at Washington, D.C.’s Capital Center during the Hotel California tour. Preorders are available now through Amazon.com and the Eagles website, www.eaglesband.com as well as through Ticketmaster when purchasing the DVD/tickets bundle.

Well it makes sense to do a DVD/Tickets bundle.

The Eagles website has international pre-orders too, but only buttons for Australia, Canada and UK so far... (grrr. Then again, I have family in Australia...)

I'm tossing up whether to get the super deluxe limited edition version...

Darn, the deluxe version is Region A discs "which may not play outside the US/Canada".

I'm glad I didn't pre-order yet if I can get a better deal with a bundle. I'm definitely going to a show if they come anywhere near me at all.

As I have said, you & I will have to order it through amazon.co.uk where we can get Region B Blu Rays. I very much doubt I would also order the deluxe stuff as well because it is too expensive & I would be throwing away Blu Rays I can't play.

Could you provide a link to the international pre-order part because I couldn't find it.

(From their site, click on the "preorder" button, then down the bottom right it has the 3 flag icons for UK/Canada/Aust

And when you click on the "Australia" button:

OK, thanks. I don't know what to get.

ETA: I will probably be getting the Blu ray with the two parts of the documentary on one disc. This means I will miss out on the bonus concert disc unless there is a change to the Blu Ray package which will include this.

Could our guys be in Australia in 2014? You never know... These romotors of Stone Fest say it costs more to fly a band in and out for one gig, but since our guys will tour there eventually anyway, who knows?

It isn't the sort of event they would play. The one that just finished was aimed at hard rock fans, even though Billy Joel played. In any case it was a huge flop. If they come here I would imagine they would do indoor shows, not a festival like this. I just can't see them coming here at the start of next year when they will barely have covered the US & won't have done Europe.

    * I think Glenn would rather wait a while, in any case...

While I totally agree with what you just said, FP, they seem to have arranged this entire first leg of the tour around the Salmon Festival in a remote area of Canada as an outdoor festival. The difference as I see it is that the Salmon Festival has been getting progressively more successful each year.
