Well, that just took up about an hour and a half, clicking on all of the links and reading all of the notes. Fun article.

Great article!!
I too thought the "douche-off" language was hilarious, but didn't want to acknowledge it because I thought people on here would get mad at me.
Loved it! Particularly this line:
"Their music is harmlessly timeless"
That's for sure!
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Here's one of those ‘it’s cool not to like the Eagles’ articles: http://www.businessinsider.com/11-re...errated-2013-8
I don't know whether it’s a good idea to even post these on the board as it just means more people read this idiot’s opinion. To comment, you have to sing up for Business Insider, whatever that is so perhaps they’re simply hoping that lots of Eagles fans will get aerated and complain and their site will get more hits. My comment would have been:
Seriously??? Your objection to them is that they’re successful? Get over it!

I like your sentiments SS!

Glenn Frey 1948-2016 RIP
I agree that they are trolling with that kind of article, hoping its "controversial" nature will prompt fans to angrily respond. When "Reason Number 1" why they are lame is that some people like them and some don't.... well, let's just say this wasn't exactly a thought-provoking piece. The insults are so generic and uninspired they don't even anger me. They just make me roll my eyes, as well as sigh heavily at the smattering of inaccurate statements inevitable in articles written by non-fans largely ignorant of the band they are criticizing.
Well - after reading y'all's comments, I think I'll save myself some time and pass on this one. As SS said, why bother giving the site a 'hit' by clicking the link when it's the same crap I've read numerous times before. Thanks for saving me some time, everyone!
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Yeah, I think that I'll take a pass too.
Back in March, Billboard posted a chart of Eagles and solo hit singles, ranked by a formula based of chart position and number of weeks. Overall, there are no big surprises with Don Henley being the clear leader but Glenn Frey also with a strong showing . Maybe the biggest surprise is Hotel California coming in at #5 behind two Eagles songs and one apiece from Don H and Glenn.

I'd like to see the equivalent for the album charts.
