Make sure you come and say hello to those lucky people on the front row, Troubadour.
    Definitely

I wont repeat what I just said on facebook -but you know how glad I am that you are getting this chance. I think it's wonderful that he is actually playing a 900 seat venue and I hope every seat is filled. I am, however, very glad that I got the chance to see him in such an intimate setting in Chicago. Hope they allow cameras and can't wait to hear all about it!!! ENJOY!!!

Not a chance. (Plus a few more!)
From the FAQ of the Cadogan Hall:
    "Can I film the performance?
No. Cameras, video recorders, or indeed any recording devices (audio or visual) are strictly prohibited. Please ensure all mobile phones and pagers are switched off during the performance."

Personally I think it should be up to the individual performer to say whether cameras are permitted (I think I would perhaps agree with video recorders being banned). I remember years ago reading 'no cameras' at the Royal Albert Hall, so never took mine. I was so near the stage (almost touching distance, though at the side) so I would have got some great photos, because it seemed that almost every other person had taken their cameras.
    Boy, was I cross.
I would agree that flash photography is perhaps a little off-putting, but if a performer said 'please no photos while I'm singing - I'll give you a photo opportunity later' most people would be good and wait. Wonder if a nice email to Tim might work?

We have had the same thing happen at an Eagles concert - the ticket stated no photos allowed but then Glenn announced that it was okay to take pictures.

However, I just don't like being bothered with a camera at a concert. For me, it takes away from the attention I want to give the performance. I'll leave the picture-taking for others.

Thanks for the glimmer of hope PM. I don't want to take hundreds of photos - and definitely none during a song. Just a couple to remind me of what I'm sure will be a memorable evening. And depending on when, if, and where, the Eagles ever play the UK again, possibly my only chance of seeing Tim.

I'm looking into going. Flights from Dublin to London would only cost all of €20 (all-in!!) for Laura and myself if we were prepared to travel early both mornings and the tickets aren't unreasonably priced either. AND the schools are closed that week as well.
