Default "We Are the World 25" for Haiti

Have you guys seen this? For those of us who were into the 80s version, it's certainly different, but their hearts are in the right place so you gotta view it with an open mind. I think it's interesting how some of them duplicate the vocal improvs of the original artists (like Celine Dion duplicating Cyndi Lauper!) but I actually like that because it reminds me of the old version, which I adore. The rapping part works surprisingly well. Wyclef Jean's style doesn't really work for this type of thing, but he's half-Haitian so it's right to have him on there. The only thing I really didn't like was the weird ending. I got taken by surprise when they changed a few lyrics as I was trying to sing along, but some of the new lyrics are good. Seeing the clips of Haiti is certainly moving and hopefully effective in soliciting even more donations. For those who haven't seen it, here it is:

I thought it was very good. Of course nothing comes close to the original, but it was very good.

I had to fight back tears on that one. Very moving, just as the original was.

That's great! It's been a long time since I've seen that! I love to see "the making" of it, and seeing everyone putting there own sound toward it.

Is that a young Lindsey Buckingham around 6:05?

Sharp eyes, PM! Yes, that's Lindsey on the back row by Dan Akroyd, sporting his worst hairdo ever, along with a very questionable wardrobe choice - but gotta love him for taking part!

These are from the album gatefold:

Wow, even Bob's hair is better than Lindsey's in that last shot.
