Wow - there seems to be an outbreak of violence on The Border!

After listening to LIFL, I partially agree with most of you. I don't think it was his best rendition of the song that I've heard. It sounded good live, but he does seem to be struggling with it a bit. However, like Soda, I have heard Glenn sing the song during the Party of Two shows with Joe, and I thought he sounded great. That's why I have said in the past that I liked the way Glenn sang it as much as Don. I never thought his version was necessarily better than Don's, but in those shows, it was equally as good. I agree with what Soda said about Glenn's voice bringing an out-of-control quality to the song that Don's does not, which I like a lot. I'm gonna chalk it up to Glenn having an off night with it.

Wel-l-l-l-l... how long ago was that Party of Two Show you speak of? Maybe Glenn just can't get it up there anymore... His voice...I'm talking about his voice...

PM, those POT (pardon the pun) shows that I speak of were in 1993. I do think that there are times wihen Glenn struggles with his voice in recent years. It just doesn't seem to be as consistent as it once was. Fortunately, it's still good most of the time, but it does have it's moments. I totally forgot to mention earlier that Glenn did appear to have a little cold or sinus problem on Saturday night. I noticed throughout the night that he was sniffling and cleared his throat occasionally. If you watch the Werewolves of London video closely, you can see him with the 'sniffles' several times.

I'm not sure how satisfying that would be since it's virtual, Mike, although perhaps Willie, LTL, PM, and I live close enough to get together for real and go at it... I could take 'em!

(That is, if I can bring my light saber)

    Mike-BEHAVE!!

I know I've heard you guys talk about how good it was at the POT shows so I'm sure he was having an off night, especially if it did appear that he was battling a cold. And chances are really good that video isn't doing it justice and it was much better live. (yes I'm trying to get back in the good graces of our administrator!)

Is there audio of him doing LITFL somewhere on the site? I would love to hear it. To be honest--I guess I always figured all Eagles songs were fine with interchangeable singers, but I will also admit that I am one who doesn't take well to change so I tend to like the original Eagles songs better then when they change them up.

I'm so relieved that others have the same opinion of LITFL. I was debating whether I would post my impression. Guess I needn't have worried. I was looking forward to hearing it, but was quite disapointed, sorry to say. Soda, how did he do on the verse of "Dirty Laundry" that he sang?

I'm sorry everyone is so disappointed - it's my fault for talking it up in my review and getting everyone excited about it. I was just so thrilled to hear him do something different and it did sound good to me at the time.
