Some thoughts about the event are on this blog. Here's the part regarding Glenn:"Record producer and songwriter David Foster emceed the evening, the second in a row over the weekend, with more performances by Kris Kristofferson, Jessi Colter, Reba McIntyre, comedienne Melissa Peterman, the Canadian Tenors, and a special appearance by Eagles front man Glenn Frey. [...] Best quote of the night, from Glenn Frey, who told the audience: 'Back in 1970, Don Henley, Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther and I hit on every waitress at the Troubador. But they were only interested in one guy: Kris Kristofferson.'"
I just now watched those videos and WOW!!! Just....WOW!!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
All I gotta say here is that I feel so bad for JD, Jackson, Don, and Glenn. Those poor boys probably never scored back in the day because of Kris. You can't help but feel real sad for them guys.

Whenever I hear Glenn say before Lyin' Eyes that none of these women were ever available to him, poor soul, I go 'uh huh'.
If all of the books and stories are to be believed, those guys had MORE than their share of the ladies after the Eagles sold a few records and went on tour.
Yeah - I wonder how many of those Troubadour waitresses were in the audience a few years later just dying for a chance at one of these ...
