These MTV clips are absolutely great. Don looks lovely, and so cute when he gives her that shy kiss!


Back in 1985, I had a radio-cassette recorder (remember those?!) and made a recording of BOS from Radio 1 - that was the only way I could hear it again. Crummy quality, but I listened to it over and over again. I'd worked out Don was one of the Eagles. I wish I'd known about Glenn!

I've said this before, but when I first heard Boys of Summer and also Smuggler's Blues, I had no idea these guys used to be in a band together, or who the Eagles were. I didn't find that out until 1994!

P.S. I don't think that French director knew Glenn and Don used to be in a band together either. He looked confused and kind of scared when Glenn started whooping and trying to high-five him. Perhaps he just thought Glenn was a huge fan of his directoral work. lol
