How sweet it is. First Liverpool beat Chelsea in the Premiership. Then Liverpool knock Chelsea out of the Carling Cup 2 - 0. And now.. Crystal Palace, the London team I support:

YES! GO EAGLES! (Yes, that is their nickname).

On a sad note though, the greatest player for my Rugby League team, the Sydney Roosters, Arthur Beetson, died of a heart attack. This is only of interest to me, but RIP Big Artie.

I finally finished out the birthday celebrations tonight (yes, it lasted a month). Some friends got us tickets to the Penguins/Capitals hockey game at the Verizon Center in DC for my birthday. And to make it better, my Pens won!! 2-1. Made for a very good night!

The Euro 2012 draw has not been kind to Ireland:

England have Sweden, France & Ukraine. The Group Of Death is Germany, Holland, Portugal, Denmark. Wow!

Yep! I've already come to that conclusion FP. However those travelling are pleased that all our group matches are based in Poland, as it will be easier to travel there than to Ukraine. Many intend going via Camper Van.

Our au pair is German and has the idea that Germany have an easy draw. I'm not so sure!

I'm happy again because Liverpool knocked their great rivals Man Utd out of the FA Cup 2-1. They are also in the Carling Cup final after beating Man City. So it's possible that Liverpool could win two trophies while all Man Utd have left are the actual premiership & the Europa League (and I can't see them winning that).

It's been a pretty disappointing season overall but....

    Congratulations to Liverpool!

I'm really excited about the Super Bowl on Sunday (I made sure I am off work so I can stay up all night to watch it!) Also, the Six Nations rugby tournament starts at the weekend.

The 6 Nations should be interesting coming so soon after the World Cup (oh, did I ever mention that New Zealand won that? I'm still excited, it was a VERY long time between drinks for us!!). Performances in October were a bit mixed, so it would be good to see some consistent form this year.

    Well done to Liverpool FP.

I'm looking forward to the 6 nations too! Ireland play Wales on Sunday. As Wales knocked us out of the World Cup this should be interesting.

In GAA football Dublin play their old rivals Kerry on Saturday evening and I've managed to get 4 tickets for that game. Should be entertaining!n

Enjoy the Superbowl over the weekend those of you who get to watch it!
