That's a nice story about your friend, Molly. I hope it works out for them. Nancy, I think you are right about finding that special companion - I think somehow you know when you have found the right one.

Well, I guess you all were right! This week we found an absolute sweetheart to make a part of our family! This is Layla and she's a 1 year old black lab. She was brought into our local shelter as a stray. No tags, no microchip-nothing. She's soooo well-behaved. She's mellow and well-mannered. We haven't even heard her bark yet-she's so quiet. So far, she's getting along very well with Molly (my chocolate lab-not me). And of course, being a lab, she's a cuddler. She reminds us so much of Cinder, it's almost scary! We are completely head over heels for this little girl.
She's so adorable, Molly.

Aw, Molly, I'm so pleased for you all. How amazing that such a beautiful dog was a stray. Those are lovely photos!
Awwww, she's so pretty! Congratulations on finding her Molly! Or rather, her finding you!
My cat, Beyonce, found me also at the shelter. Out of all the cats they had, she just kept staring at me and begging me to pet her and when I did, I knew!

Molly - I am thrilled for you that you found Layla. She is adorable and so lucky to be a part of your wonderful family. I'm glad your Molly is warming up to her. And what better gift could you give to Cinder than to adopt another pet that is so much like her. I hope she is a part of your family for many years to come.

Oooooh, what a cute dog Layla is. I'm glad she found a new home.
I caught my sweetie, Beyonce, lounging in a flower bed the other day. When I pointed the camera she yawned as if to say "boring!"
