Great review Lou and pictures! Glad you had such a wonderful night and I know you had really been looking forward to it!

I'm not a fan of theirs (sorry!) but I do love Graham Nash and The Hollies and am very pleased to hear there might be something new coming from them!

    Troub,
Thanks for the great review and pics. It made me even more excited
to see CS&N when they open for Tom Petty in August in Nashville,TN.
However, since they are sharing the stage with Petty, I'm sure I won't
get to hear near as many songs as you did.

Troub, I'll say it again - how refreshing to see somebody your age enjoying bands that I grew up with. Hell, I'm starting to get a little jealous! You've seen Jackson Browne and I haven't, and now CSN!

How cool that they did Norwegian Wood!

    This part disappointed me too:

Crosby and Nash shared the vocals, instead of Stills, which I was a tad disappointed about because I love the way SS sings the opening line: “If you smile at me, I will understand...” Still, it was superb, and left the audience nice and high, anticipating the second set.
Anyway, I loved the fact that your review was so thorough. It almost made me feel like I was there. (Almost!)

Well, I know what album I'm bringing to the next vinyl party!

Don't worry about bringing any Hollies albums, we have lots!

If my memory serves me right (it was 3 a.m.!) we listened to a CSN of yours - Larry was getting into it.

I'm not as big a fan as Lou, in that I don't know half of the songs they played, but I still wouldn't mind seeing them someday. (If I keep it up my 'somedays' are going to run out on some of these performers!)

I do recall that--wasn't mine-that was a Larry's! He does really like them and CSN & Y also and so do my kids. In fact, Saturday, Katie got her first tattoo and it was the lyric from Neil Young's My My, Hey Hey.

Crosby, Stills & Nash have split with their label and producer - which means that their album of covers project has been scrapped. I'm quite sad about this, because I saw them perform some of them back in July (Ruby Tuesday, Girl From The North Country, Midnight Rider, Behind Blue Eyes, Norwegian Wood) and they were fantastic. However, the word on the grapevine is that Stills and Young are considering a Buffalo Springfield reunion tour instead...

I love that comment that Ohio was 'almost punk'. Someone recently made a plaintive plea on the Guardian blog in an article praising Bob Seger: 'why does EVERY bit of music have to be compared with punk in Britain"?!!

As for the next comment about Young and his 'self-mythologising' there is some truth in that, as there is about some other rock stars I won't name at the moment.

My preference would be for a Stills-Young reunion.

Crosby and Nash are touring in the States this Spring.

They are also doing a couple of shows in England in October. I am going to look into tickets for the Royal Albert Hall concert.
