It would be so cool to see this performance but sadly only one episode has turned up in all these years, so it's all presumed lost. Sad.

Thanks. I don't think he appears in it, he just recorded and engineered it

This is so cool! Much gratitude to the person who discovered it. That backdrop looks familiar— was it used for The Dating Game or am I off here?

Randy as usual looking his cute self.

Since then I've emailed the archivist for the production company that owns & licenses the program. He said the Rick Nelson episode no longer exists.

Is it too much to hope that a copy of the tape exists somewhere, perhaps in ABC's library? Or anyone's library - it was a syndicated program, shown all over the country. Best not to think of it.

It’s wishful thinking I know, but just imagine if someone at the production company surreptitiously made copies of some of these old programs and these long-forgotten reels are being stored in a basement or attic somewhere, waiting to be discovered. Sigh.

Randy’s friend and occasional songwriting collaborator Bruce Gaitsch has suffered a debilitating stroke. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=...&v=HrPe9wAXtpo

Oh no, that’s terrible. I hope he recovers and gets well soon.

He also worked on some of Timothy’s albums.

Awesome NMB. I love it when these old treasures just show up out of nowhere.

How sad. I wish Bruce the best for a full and speedy recovery.
