Found it and scanned it! Sadly, there's not much to it.

Beautiful! Thank you so much, Nancy.

I wonder why Bernie doesn’t have a website anymore.

Thanks from me too, Soda, it’s much appreciated.

Maybe Bernie’s website was meant to promote his album and other music. After awhile he may have gotten bored with it or generally disinterested and moved on.

I found it - it is in the May, 2008 issue. It is embedded as an insert on the final page of the Eagles article.

    Here's the write-up on Randy:

    Randy Meisner

    INSTRUMENT
    Bass YEARS IN BAND '71 - '77

CONTRIBUTIONS - Meisner co-wrote and sang lead on the 1975 hit "Take It to the Limit." His high tenor was an integral part of the Eagles' harmony.

DEPARTURE - His influence dwindled as Henley and Frey solidified control. "I felt like a member of the group, not a part of it," he says. Conflicts between him and Frey boiled over, and he quit after a backstage fistfight between the two.

WHERE IS HE NOW? - Meisner lives in Studio City, California, and plays occasional gigs. Royalties have kept him very wealthy, but he'd like to perform with the band again. "Last time they came to town, I asked if I could sing "Take It to the Limit," he tells RS. "I didn't get a response. I'm not bitter. I got my house, a great wife, two Chihuahuas and five-foot tomato plants. I'm happy. How much money do you need?"

I'll post Bernie's write-up in his thread later.

This interview dated Jan. 31, 2019 is with Vince Gill but I mention here because of something he said that caught my attention:

“I don’t have any false illusions that I’m going to sing something better than Glenn or better than (former Eagles bassist) Randy (Meisner),” he says, adding with a laugh, “There are still people who are mad that (Meisner) isn’t in the band, and he’s been gone for 40 years!”
It’s funny and surprising that he has actually encountered this reaction and that it still pops up.

This was new to me: the DJ Redbeard interviewing Glenn and Randy about Desperado and On the Border. Wonderful stuff! http://www.inthestudio.net/online-on...aocl97hraUrbfs

P.S. I love how Randy could remember the name of Glenn’s horse from the Desperado photo shoot 20 years later! Whatta doll.

Thank you so much for this NMB!! I have read this interview existed but I never got to hear it. So far it sounds really interesting - Glenn saying Poco’s live shows were exciting but their records were “too polite” and the FBB were sloppy in the studio. He really studied what these bands did wrong recording-wise and tried to not make the same mistakes.

When I have time I will try to transcribe it before it gets sent to the cornfield again.

To the cornfield! What a cute expression.

That’s going to be a big undertaking to transcribe it - the program is almost 90 minutes long! Isn’t it possible to save the audio? Then you can always hear Randy’s sweet voice and laugh.

P.S. Glenn’s interview took place May 9, 1992 and Randy’s interview in 1989 when he was in Dallas to play a Poco concert.
