You know, when you see someone EVERY day, that is complaining at how they need to lose weight, and are going to Weight Watchers's but yet, eating two huge donuts EVERY day you see them, my sympathy is GONE. Don't complain about being overweight so all that can hear and then make poor food choices.

The Queen Mary 2 cruise ship is currently docked (that is the right term, isn't it? ) at Table Bay (Cape Town) Harbour. I can actually see it from our office window - quite a sight to behold.

Anyway, I joked with a colleague that I'm planning a trip on the Queen Mary 2. She played along and asked, "When?" I said, "Oh, when my SHIP comes in".

Sorry, it's just my lame attempt at humour. I'm not feeling so good, so I'm trying to cheer myself up.

I have a varied sense of humour - I enjoy "clever" humour, but slapstick or "silly" humour can be just as funny.

QM2 comes from my now home city of Southampton Mrs F. I get to see her fairly regularly either sailing by or berthed in the docks when we go into the city. She is 'an impressive block of flats' (apartment block) as my DH calls her. He can't talk, only cruising he has ever done was on what is jokingly called the 'grey funnel line'. That's the Royal Navy to us civvies. Mind you he wants to go on a cruise .... one day.

I just got a couple of questions.

First, I couldn't see any of the Bass Seats. Where are they located and are the flyrods stored near them? And is there a ice chest of Bud by them?

Also, is there a pedal control for the trolling motor?

Ships Boats are submarines DH reliably informs me. Mind you why are lifeboats called lifeboats

I always thought Ships were great big things - and boats were a bit smaller!

In fact i'd quite like to buy a boat, where i'm living screams out for one ....but not a submarine!
