No problem! Yes it did occur after the spider bite... I'm trying my hardest to remember what I took for the spider bite but I think it was a combination of Keflex and Dexamethasone if I remember right. I took it for a couple weeks. Speaking of which, the spider bite is gone. I haven't had any more bites thank god.
This is a NASTY red rash ALL over from head to toe. Started on my thighs and now its everywhere. It causes a severe burning pain that feels like a horrible sunburn. It also itches and is a "tickly/tingly" itch and by that I mean it feels like its coming from my nerve endings as it feels like I'm being tickled with a feather or something. It burns all the time but if I dare itch it it feels like my skin is on fire and goes "inside" of my skin and like a little electrical shock. At first they thought it was Poison Ivy, but this is definitely not poison ivy. I read about Shingles but they don't think it's that either. I'm also having some nausea and headaches too and difficulty sleeping. I haven't a clue what it is.
I'm going to a Dermatologist and then from there they will try to diagnose it before they send me to the immune specialist person or any other doctor. They will let me know when my appt is tomorrow and hopefully they were able to get it bumped up.... My primary care doctor is puzzled and she said it's beyond her scope of practice and she thinks it's something more serious than a mild infection or anything like that. I've tried a week of Prednisone, Antibiotics, Cream for Chiggers, mites, etc, and OTC hydrocortisone and Benadryl. Not a one even TOUCHES it. Her last resort before she said to send me off was to try a steroid + antihistamine shot (got that yesterday) but even that didn't work.
