Awwww Mike I too am sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. He fought a good fight and I'm glad he went peacefully. But of course I'm thinking of you, his wife and his family. Even when the end is anticipated it is still shocking when it arrives. I'm sure Johnny is at peace now. Take care of yourself. You seem like a strong man, but you too are human.

All Y'all are great. Rhonda (Johnny's widow) will get through this and once it is over, not sure what she'll do. She's been a stay at home wife for the 30-something years they were married and has never worked. She isn't old enough to collect Johnny's disability and other Social Security benefits so she'll be looking for a job. I'm hoping that she finds something she can enjoy doing.

Verna and I were supposed to be in Vegas this week. I think Johnny would have liked to be toasted over a Blackjack Table. He really liked playing Video Poker back when he was able to travel. We'll lift one to him the next time we go out.

I sincerely thank all of you for the heartfelt condolences, but like one of you said, I was pretty much through the mourning stages and was happy that he did go on without the pain and suffering that others I've known who died from cancer had to endure. Still, he's the only brother of blood that I have. That does make it tough. He is a loss to me for sure.

I met with the doctor today and they are scheduling me for surgery on July 20th. I am not exactly thrilled but I need to do this. What I am hoping for now is that they find nothing and its over and done with. Otherwise I have to go north to a special surgeon and have more extensive surgery. I am keeping my fingers crossed...
