It was so great being in Melbourne, reading the Melbourne papers and watching TV at the time all this was happening.

FP, it must have been momentous to have been in Melbourne at the time. Didn't you go to an extra performance to fine things up for the dvd?
I got quite excited watching the Australian Open tennis when I saw where it was being held.
I had left Melbourne before the extra show was announced - I had no idea about it.
Rod Laver Arena is a pretty good venue - I thought it was better than the Sydney Superdome (now called the Acer Arena). It was interesting during the tennis looking at shots of the outside of the venue and remembering being there. It's a nice walk across the Yarra River back to the city (a LITTLE bit like walking across Westminster Bridge, only not quite as exciting as that).
