"Name That Eagle" Game

Okay folks – time to try out a new game to test our Eagles knowledge. This one has pretty simple rules and is not heavily dependent on a moderator. The way it works is that each player will post a fact about one of the past or present members of the Eagles, and the next poster answers with the correct Eagle. The trick is that the sentence must start with the words “This Eagle …” i.e.

“This Eagle is the lead singer on the song Those Shoes.”

The next player answers the question (in the above example the answer is Don Henley), and then posts their own question starting with “This Eagle …” and so on. If the question has more than one answer, you only need to give one name, i.e.

“This Eagle has a writing credit for the song Earlybird.”

Answer: Bernie or Randy

Each player will earn 1 point for every correct answer. However, there will be a point deducted from your score if you give an incorrect answer. In addition, there will be a point deducted if you post an inaccurate question that can’t be answered, i.e.

“This Eagle is the father of six children”.

I will periodically update the thread with a recap of each player’s score. The game starts now, and will end at 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday, August 27th. At that time, the player with the highest score is the winner. Soda will be donating a prize to the winner, which is a “Very Best of Don Henley” CD. I am going to participate in the game, but will not be eligible to win.

If you get stuck on a question to ask, just visit one of the online sites in the EOC network. You’re bound to be able to find something to ask.

Also, if you are stuck on an answer, you can search Eagles Onlone Central to try to locate the answer to your question. To search all of the EOC sites for a particular phrase, follow these steps:

1. Highlight and copy the phrase to be searched.
2. Go to EaglesOnlineCentral.
3. Click the 'Search This Site' link.
4. Paste or type the phrase into the 'Search' field.
5. Type quotation marks before and after the phrase.
6. Click 'Find' and wait for the results to appear.

Here's a reminder tip. If you don't know the answer to a question, you can try using the search engine on Eagles Online Central to try to locate a particular phrase for an answer.

To search all of the EOC sites for a particular phrase, follow these steps:

1. Highlight and copy the phrase to be searched.

4. Paste or type the phrase into the 'Search' field.
