Just dropping in for a minute to say, hello all! I haven't had time to
get on here since we got back. On our way home Sunday, my mom called
and said they took my dad to the ER with a shortness of breath episode.
He was admitted and tests were run and I spent most of Monday and
Tuesday at the hospital. He was released last night and is doing fine.
Today and Thursday I have to work 14 hour days. Anyway, I'll get back
on here when I get some time with some reflections and observations
from Louisville's show, but dreamer said it.........AWESOME!!!!

P.S. We took some pics too so maybe we'll see how they turned out
    in a few days.

I have more pictures but I need to talk to my brother-in-law about a problem with some of them. Check back tomorrow night. Thank you Kay. Maybe I'm getting the hang of it now.

First, I just want to be clear. I'm not sad because Joe doesn't do enough during a show - I'm sad about reports that he may be lip syncing.

Cheryl, if those three pictures are an indication of what's to come, then I can't wait! Good work!

Rick, I think that's the most personal post we've seen from you! It helps when you can now put a face with a name, doesn't it? Scary about your dad but glad he was released. Hope that's the end of it. Anxious to see your pictures too maybe!

Good to hear from you Rick and sorry about the scare your Dad gave you all. I'm very glad to hear he is doing okay.

Cheryl, looks like you got the hang of posting those photos, and I agree, if the others are as good as the ones you've already posted, I can't wait! That picture of Don is very 'dreamy'. As most of you already know, I am not that fond of Don's gray beard, but he looks gorgeous in that picture (probably cause the lighting blends with the beard. )

PM, it's understandable that you'd be sad about Joe lip syncing.

I guess his voice just isn't the type that blends smoothly with others, but they want to present themselves as this great vocal band, not this great vocal trio with Joe along to play guitar. After all, Joe has powerful vocals, just not the kind that blend well. So, he lip syncs when they do the harmonizing so he doesn't look like a secondary part of the band.

I get that reason. Besides, I think that it's also the only time he does it.

I think this video of "Best of My Love" from after Joe first joined the band is one of the very few times I've actually been able to pick out his voice in harmonies. You can hear it well near the end when they are singing "ooooh....sweet darlin'.... the best of my love" behind Don.
