    Cheers Koala!

Russ Cochran, Class of 2006, summed up his feelings about the concert in one sentence.
“If Jesus made rock music, it would sound like the Eagles,” he said.

Love that quote and a huge thank you from me too, Koala for staying of top of these reviews for us - what would we do without you!

I hadn't had a chance to read all of these this morning, but as soon as I read the quote the TG quoted, it became my FB status this morning. Love that one!

    I liked this part too....

“Their new stuff is good, but their old stuff is classic,” Coppock (graduate-chemistry) said.
He said his favorite song was “Life in the Fast Lane,” because of the electric guitar.
“Anytime they can actually have Joe Walsh playing lead guitar is great,” he said. “The studio guitarist is good, but he doesn’t have that weirdness that Joe Walsh does.”

    heh heh heh, Exactly!!

At the Toledo show, I had quite a number of Bowling Green students around me. Not only did they enjoy themselves, they knew all the words to the old and new stuff. Maybe there is hope for this next group...

Maybe its because Hip Hop and other such genre that gets radio play doesn't give the younger generation a rise; its not very musical. It has its place but I don't know where that is yet. I have been a bit surprised that some of the young people I've run into know many of the same classic rock songs that I do. There is hope.
