Anyone in the Philly area? There is a GREAT Eagles tribute band out of Northern NJ playing at World Cafe Live on Thursday January 9th. Not to be missed.

Here is the info! The band covering the Eagles will be The Long Run, and it will be on January 27. Also, BellaDonna will be doing Stevie on January 13!! Check out the entire season lineup here - so cool! I am going to watch several of these! They are all broadcast LIVE.

Hmmm, there's got to be a way for you guys to see it online, if not live. If I had an old timey vcr machine I would record it for you! Is it possible to record shows to blue ray or dvd? I have those....

I am looking forward to hearing The Long Run - earlier in this thread was posted that they are good. The only tribute band I have ever seen was Super Diamond, who cover Neil Diamond. The singer doesn't attempt to look like Neil, but his voice is eerily spot on - if you close your eyes it sounds EXACTLY like Neil Diamond - it's really weird. So, with this as my frame of reference, I watched the Prince tribute by Purple Reign last night on this show, and I didn't think the guy's voice sounded very similar at all to Prince's, it was not impressive. I can't wait to see if these Long Run guys sound like our guys!

Quick note, I don't want to get too far off topic on this thread. Just watched Bella Donna's tribute to Stevie Nicks on this show. The band and backup singers were great. "Stevie" looked a lot like Stevie, but didn't sound much like her. I think my expectations for these tribute bands may be too high. Recalibrating before I see the tribute to the Eagles - lowering my expectations.

The Eagles tribute by The Long Run is on tonight live at 8 PST/ 11 EST on AXS TV. Considering I saw the real deal 3 nights ago, pretty sure I'm not going to enjoy this - unfortunate timing. There is a Joe Walsh special on the same channel two hours prior - Guitar Center Sessions. A full hour of Joe!
