When I saw this thread had been revived today, I was reminded that I never posted here previously. It's not because I forgot - it's because there is no way that I could narrow my list of favorites to 15 songs, no matter how hard I tried. However, I read back through the thread and decided to do a little math to see what the top vote-getters were from those of you who did post a list. Here's what I came up with ...

Now here's what I was the most surprised about - The One You Love got more votes than any other song if I counted correctly, but that probably wouldn't even make my Top 15 list. Also, what I consider to be one of Glenn best solo songs, All Those Lies, didn't make anyone's list. I knew the song was underrated, but I found that to be a major shocker.

But here was the dilemma for me - in addition to the songs on this list, there is no way I would be able to exclude others such as:

I cheated & did an 'essentials' list but then I did a 'favourites' list. TOYL is on the 'essentials' but not the 'favourites' list.

I was the only person who listed A Walk In The Dark. While the song is not perfect (I don't like the backing vocals) I think it's just beautiful.

I thought as the last post here was before Glenn announced that he was releasing 'After Hours' and also that we have has so many new members since it might be fun to revive this thread. Also, why limit into one cd? I'm sure we could easily get a 2 cd 'Best of' with a little creativity. People could chose obviously.

LOL, FP! I had the same thought. If I was making a 2CD "Best of Glenn Frey" set Disc 1 would be my favorites from his 80's & 90's solo albums & Disc 2 would be "After Hours".
