I completely agree with you about LTBS, a song which always helps me when I am stressed. But my objection to PCHFC isn't that it's seasonal. I dislike it because I find it too slow, bland & some of the lyrics just don't strike a chord with me at all, though I have tried, believe me. I particularly don't like the 'I'll be happy, happy, once again' part. I just find that clumsy. I know the song is old but I don't think it suits the band at all.

I can't believe there are votes for Get Over It, which is a wonderful, perfect Henley-Frey song.

I have to say, this game is really interesting. I have no idea what's going to come out on top! I'm keeping mum on my fave at this time.

It's on the Farewell 1 DVD.

Did they ever perform it outside of those Australian shows?

Yep - I saw them do it at the Hampton, VA show in March, 2005. However, they dropped it at some point that year because it wasn't done at the Oakland or Sacramento shows that I went to in October and November.

Seems like they sure dropped it quickly, then. I like it myself. Joe says it'll be on his new album, though, which I appreciate as a fan of the song. I wonder if the arrangement will get changed up?

I'm glad to hear that Joe is including it on his album. I like the song too.

Uh oh. I nearly forgot to come in and vote today! I'm pretty shocked (like Fp) that people are voting for GOI so early in the game! It's a fantastic, rockin' song written by our two founders of the band! I so wish they would do it in concert.

It's hard to know what else to vote for here. I pretty much like all the rest of the songs. So......since it wasn't written by one of the guys, even though I love it during the Christmas season, and I love the way Don sings it, it's pretty short and old.

I vote for Please Come Home For Christmas.

In everything going on right now, I almost forgot that round 3 ends tonight. Must also say I'm shocked by the votes for Get Over It!! The words to this song are so great, I thought it would last a lot longer. Besides it has a great beat and it's easy to dance to! I was gonna stick with my last round vote for One Day At A Time but in an attempt to save GOI....

as much as I hate to do it, I must vote for All Night Long.
