Wow - now that was a very interesting tale. I've never heard this story before either. I guess at the time it was no big deal - just another out of control rock star!

Believe it or not, the first person I asked (one of my work colleagues) was AT the FM concert in 1980! But... she didn't notice ANYTHING - and suggested that perhaps she was "relaxed" at the concert too... . As I'm sure was most of the audience, there are legends about the amount of pot smoke in the air!

lol! Well, in Mick Fleetwood's book, he says he went out to do interviews afterward, trying to think of an explanation to give to anyone who asked - but no one asked! He said that he figured people just thought Lindsey was kidding around and didn't think anything of it. Still, if I were at that show, I'd be going "What the heck is he doing???" Of course, if your friend was "feeling no pain" she probably was thinking the same thing.
How cool that she was there! Thanks for asking around. If anyone else knows anything, be sure to post it here!
Well I figured I'd write a quick little review for the KISS show.
All in all, it was pretty good. You definitely better appreciate pyrotechnics, props, stage antics, and gimmicks if you go to a KISS show. I do, but it's not for everyone. It was a pretty good show. KISS has always been about the performance and not so much the musical side of things but rather putting on a show and if you look at it from that angle - it was a really good show. That said there was only about 5 songs max that I recognized or liked. Detroit Rock City, Rock And Roll All Nite, Beth, Lick It Up, and Dr. Love are pretty much the only KISS songs I like and luckily they played them all.
I look at this concert as one of those "been there, done that, and have the t-shirt to prove it" type of events. I can say I've seen them. I've done it once so I can say I've seen them but I'm afraid I probably won't be going to many more KISS shows if any. But at least I can say I went and enjoyed it.

Glad you went if it was on your concert Bucket List. You won't ever find me claiming to like Kiss (other than Beth or Hard Luck Woman- I usually shut them off). But, that being said, I will say Gene Simmons is a genius!!
He sings it high, he plays it low
Ooh I love KISS, Glad you got to see them!
Glad you had a great time at the KISS concert!

The Pet Shop Boys SUPPORTED Take That?
This is like Knopfler supporting Bob Dylan. It should be the other way around.
