It did sound like a great concert, FP. I'm glad you are happy with your new plaid shirt, too.

Great review, Fp! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

I got to see John for the first time about a year and a half ago and he was awesome! He's always been a favorite of mine and hubby's since the CCR days. One of his sons came out and played on one song that night, too. I think my favorite songs of his are Green River and Have You Ever Seen the Rain. We always loved his I Heard It Through the Grapevine, too. Although I really don't know of any I don't like!

He is really energetic on stage for his age. No loitering! Lots of fun.

I second Fp. If you get the chance, GO! He's a legend!

WOW, FP! Thanks for that wonderful review! I'm so glad that you had such an amazing time, and especially happy for you that you had a special moment with John. Fantastic! It probably made you forget for a while that the Eagles were in London last night!

I love CCR, and I know most of the songs you mentioned. The little band in which I play have some CCR songs in the repertoire, and they always go down a treat with whatever crowd we're playing to. I've seen him perform on TV, and he's very energetic and looks good for his age. He still has that powerful voice and hits all the notes, and his guitar playing is awesome.

Katherine, I haven't yet had a chance to read your Bon Jovi concert review, but I will soon, I promise! At a glance it seems you had a fantastic time, so I'm very happy for you!

I missed out on tickets to see John Fogerty at a small venue in Milwaukee last year. Arrrggghhh! I'm hoping I get another chance, sounds like he's still fantastic to see (and hear).

So, during "Bad Moon Rising" did he change the line to, "There's a bathroom on the right." ? I saw a concert on television a few years ago and he did that with a big grin on his face.

    Thanks for the review, FP.

Oooh - I don't think so Molly. I was pretty excited during BMR because it's my favourite. If he did change it I didn't notice. I was lucky in the train going home because the iPod very kindly played BMR for me (a few songs after it had played something called I Love To Watch A Woman Dance which left me totally destroyed).

I forgot to mention that another highlight was Lodi, one of the best songs ever written about being a strugling musician. Even my husband likes that one (I couldn't persuade him to go to the show, sadly).

You guys will have a chance to see him. He's touring Europe in May and June!

Highlighted line: Oh gosh, FP, I know just how you feel. If Glenn had performed THAT one at the concert on 20 March, I would not have been responsible for my actions... CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" is one of my favourites too, and I perform it regularly in our band.

Thanks, Brooke! When Don talks about the reviewer who said the Eagles loiter on stage, I always laugh, especially since Don himself is so amused too! I get quite flustered watching him there...
