I have visited in 2007 a Genesis concert!
Then the eagle concert in July will be my second one!
What I am glad already very much about, I can hardly wait for it.

I listed a bunch of concerts in an earlier post but there is one I forgot. Last year for our 26th anniversary TT and I went to Atlantici City for a couple of nights. We stayed at the Tropicana. They had a band in the house called Yesterday. Yesterday is a Beatles tribute band. Thy were great. They even had a left handed bass player who looked a lot like Sir Paul. If they ever come your way you should make it a point to check them out...I highly recommend them.

I'm all kinds of excited! We have the Thorogood tickets for later this month and then of course the Eagles concert in March and this weekend we are going to get tickets for Styx and Kansas for a week after the Eagles concert. After not going to concerts for years, I sure have been making up for it this past 6 months! And the best thing about the Styx/Kansas show---Don't have to deal with Ticketmaster!!

My most recent 1/28/09~~the Eagles. I took a roadtrip to Nashville and Birmingham to see Def Leppard/Joan Jett 8/1/08 and 8/2/08. Then before that I took a "hard-rocking" roadtrip down to Miami to see P.O.D.(Hard Rock Cafe) and Def Leppard/Styx/REO Speedwagon(Hard Rock Live) the weekend of 3/28/08-3/29/08. P.O.D. and Def Leppard are two of my other favorite bands so to see them both back to back was unbelievable. Also saw StorySide B and Skillet last summer(separate). And previous to that saw StorySide B and Skillet(together) in 11/07 and Megadeth(another favorite band) on 10/4/07 at the House Of Blues, Orlando. Would really love to see Elton John in March but hasn't worked out yet.

Went and saw George Thorogood last night at the Blue Chip Casino. He sure puts on a great show -especially if you love the blues!!! He is still as awesome as ever and quite the showman!

Then he collapses on the floor like he's exhausted and finally they help him off stage. He came back out and shook hands with anyone who wanted to shake and really plays up the crowd.

All in all a great show and worth every dollar if you get a chance to see him.

Before hand, we all went out for a Mexican dinner and then decided to hit the slots for a half hour or so before the show. I came out $32.00 ahead and Larry broke even so that paid for our dinner anyways. That never happens for us so that was cool.

BTW--Mike---You will be happy to know that I paid close attention last night to his beautiful guitars, something I probably never would have done before reading your stuff on this board. I still don't understand the difference between guitars but I did know that these kind of guitars are mainly used to play the blues because you told me so. See I am listening!

Willie, Sounds like a great show!! I love George Thorogood! and what a set!! *G* I just need to move to the midwest. And good for you paying attention to the guitars!! heheehe if nothing else they're pretty and they sound nice! *G* Right Mike? hehehehe

AND Just so you know! I went Vinyl shopping yesterday and made a haul!! No Joe's and only one Eagles I didnt have, but a LOT of Linda Ronstadt and Loggins and Messina and Bonnie and Stevie and Fleetwood Mac etc... Good stuff, all LP's and all $.50 each! See? Im paying attention too! (they didnt have any good blues other then Bonnie) *bowing to the vinyl sensei*

TBF - Sounds like it was a great show!! I saw part of a Thorogood performance at Milwaukee's Summerfest in 2002. Too funny about his 'James Brown act' -- maybe his exhaustion was due at least in part to handling those big Gibsons he plays... Speaking of, thats a beautiful white Gibson in that great pic you posted.

FFL - I used to be a big Megadeth fan, and I still love DF and have always wanted to see them live ... hopefully one year soon....

So far this summer I'm looking forward to seeing a outdoor show featuring Reo Speedwagon, Styx, and 38 Special. I saw REO a couple years ago and they were great; this will be my first time seeing the others -- can't wait!!

LWKUA, I've seen REO, Styx and 38 Special in the past (way-y-y--y past!) In fact, since REO is from my neck of the woods, I've seen them many times before, but I'd love to see these bands again.
