Sounds like a lot of fun, Cathy! Shame about the poor turnout though.

Glad you had fun, Cathy, but it's a shame more people didn't turn out.
Would you believe I saw Mitch Ryder (and the Detroit Wheels) in concert in 1966?? Also on the bill were Gary Lewis and the Playboys and the Beach Boys!! I have a fuzzy remembrance of this concert-I remember the girls went wild during most of it! (including me!)

Yes Stars, I would believe that because I'm beginning to think there's not a band out there that you haven't seen!

PM, you gave me quite a chuckle!
I have been very fortunate to see many bands that I love during my life. However, there is one band I WISH I had seen, but never had the opportunity-that band is the Beatles! When they were touring, I was a pre-teen, and my mom would never let me go see them. If I could go back in time and see one band, it would certainly be the Beatles!
Hey, that is a good question to pose for any Borderer who cares to answer. If you could go back in time and see any band (other than the Eagles, of course!), who would it be??

    The Band. 100%.

Close second would be Pink Floyd, followed by Led Zeppelin.

I was lucky enough to see Crosby, Stills & Nash recently - otherwise, they would have been high on my list, too.

    Gee, let me think...

    Led Zeppelin

And my list of the rest would be a long one but Sweet, The Cars and Van Halen would top it after Zep.

    Great question Stars!

    Fleetwood Mac!

First, then the young Rolling Stones!

I'd like to see the Beatles post break up. I mean, since we're dreaming here I would have liked to hear them do the songs they recorded after they stopped playing live. That's why it's so fun to see a Beatles tribute band.

First off, EF - how fabulous for you! Wow!!!

PM - glad you had such a good time at HippieFest. Sounds like a hoot!

As for a band I've never seen but want to... I'd love to see U2 live. I tried to do so the last time they came to Chicago, but I couldn't afford it.

The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Easily.

(I will anticipate any cries of astonishment and say that yes, I saw Dire Straits. Twice).
